Joint Press Statement By NADCO Delegation Leaders at the unveiling of NADCO Report.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Dear Kenyans In the history of our great nation-Kenya, the People have always had the great resolve to face all challenges that occasion from time to time. With great courage and in the spirit of truth, unity, brotherhood, nationhood, and patriotism, the people of Kenya always emerge as the winners.

On this 25th day of November 2023, The National Dialogue Committee (NADCO), established through a parliamentary process of The peoples’ Representation is proud to midwife to the people of the Republic of Kenya, The NADCO 2023 Report.

We are proud to Unveil The National Dialogue Committee’s Report which has been electronically submitted to the Principals representing The Kenya Kwanza and Azimio La Umoja Leadership.

It is our firm belief that The Report has addressed the issues that formed the basis of the talks and the recommendations therein will progressively heal our wounds, foster togetherness, promote national unity restore our national pride, and usher us to greater prosperity.

1. Evaluation of the 2022 General Election Process

2. The IEBC reconstitution selection panel be expanded from 7 to 9 members.

3. Presidential election petition to be heard and determined within 21 days from 14 days.

4. Legal reforms passed less than 18 months before the general election to take effect in the next electoral cycle.

5. On the cost of living, all arms of government to cut travel expenditure by 50%.

6. SRC to review daily subsistence allowances for state and public offices with an aim of reducing the cost by 30%.

7. Road maintenance levy and fuel anti-adulteration levy to be reduced by Ksh 5 and 3 respectively.

8. All devolved functions to be transferred to county governments fully.

9. Equitable share to the county governments to be not less than 20% of the total collected revenue.

10. NGCDF, NGAAF and Senate Oversight fund to be entrenched in the constitution.

11. Ward Development Fund to be established by Statue,

12. Establishment of the Office of the Opposition Leader with two deputies.
